Rigid PVC Conduit for Telephone and Electrical Ducting

RIVAL rigid PVC conduit for underground telephone and electrical canalization. NTE INEN 1869 compliant, in Type I (light) and Type II (heavy), with diameters from 16 to 160 mm — self-extinguishing, low thermal and electrical conductivity, watertight spigot-bell joints with water absorption under 0.3%. Voltera is the Official RIVAL Distributor, importing direct from the factory.

When the project specifies NTE INEN 1869, the conduit has to meet the crush test — not look like it does. Voltera ships RIVAL PVC to specialty distributors, ferreterías, and EPCs across Central America, the Caribbean, and South America in 3-meter and 6-meter sections. Full container or mixed with wire, conduit, or other electrical materials. MOQs are real, not policy. Quotes go out in firm with incoterms.

Type I (Light) vs Type II (Heavy) — Selection Guide

The choice between Type I and Type II depends on the install environment, burial depth, and expected mechanical loading. The smaller diameters (16–32 mm) ship only in Type II.

Type I (Light)
  • Thinner wall, lower weight
  • Concrete-embedded and protected pathways
  • Diameters 40–160 mm only
  • Low to moderate mechanical loading
  • Lower cost per linear meter
Type II (Heavy)
  • Heavier wall, higher crush resistance
  • Direct burial and traffic-bearing right-of-way
  • Available in all 13 diameters (16–160 mm)
  • Soil load and deeper burial conditions
  • Only option in 16, 20, 25, and 32 mm

Buying RIVAL Rigid PVC Conduit Wholesale — FAQ

What is RIVAL PVC conduit and what is it used for?

RIVAL PVC is rigid, self-extinguishing polyvinyl chloride conduit designed for underground telephone and electrical canalization. NTE INEN 1869 compliant. Available in Type I (light) and Type II (heavy), in nominal diameters from 16 to 160 mm and 3-meter and 6-meter sections. It protects electrical and telephone cables in underground networks, concrete-embedded installations, and civil works.

Type I (light) vs Type II (heavy) — when does each one apply?

Type I has thinner walls and is used where mechanical loading is low — concrete-embedded runs and protected pathways. Type II has heavier walls to handle soil load and crush stress in direct burial, traffic-bearing right-of-way, and deeper installations. The smaller diameters (16, 20, 25, 32 mm) ship only in Type II — there is no Type I version. Specify the type in the RFQ.

What diameters and lengths are available (16–160 mm)?

All 13 standard diameters per NTE INEN 1869: 16, 20, 25, 32, 40, 50, 63, 75, 90, 110, 125, 140, and 160 mm. Sections come in 3 m and 6 m, palletized. Diameters and types can mix in a single container with no per-SKU minimum.

Are the spigot-bell joints fully watertight?

Yes. Spigot-bell joints are sealed with E/C solvent cement (permanent) or U/R elastomeric seal (removable). The joint is fully watertight, with water absorption under 0.3% — which keeps ducts dry in underground networks in wet soil or high-water-table areas.

Is the PVC conduit self-extinguishing and fire-safe?

Yes. RIVAL PVC is self-extinguishing — flame does not propagate, and the conduit meets fire-safety requirements for telephone and electrical networks in civil works. This matters: non-self-extinguishing pipe gets disqualified on institutional projects, hospitals, schools, and public works where local code calls for non-propagation.

Does the conduit meet NTE INEN 1869?

Yes. The RIVAL PVC conduit we ship is NTE INEN 1869 compliant — the Ecuadorian standard for rigid PVC conduit for telephone and electrical canalization. For EPCs, project engineers, and inspectors who need documentation, we deliver the certificate and lot-level traceability with the shipment, not as a promise.

Does Voltera export RIVAL PVC conduit to Central America and the Caribbean?

Yes. Voltera is the Official RIVAL Distributor and exports PVC canalization conduit to Central America (Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama), the Caribbean (Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago), and South America (Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Argentina). Full container or mixed with wire, conduit, or other electrical materials. We coordinate clearance with established customs brokers at each destination.

What is the minimum order to buy RIVAL PVC conduit wholesale by the container?

No fixed minimum. The honest question is whether the math works for a full container or whether a mixed container with other electrical materials gets to a better landed cost. Send the diameter, type (I or II), and length (3 m or 6 m) breakdown by destination — we put together the configuration that gives the best total cost.
