Three Models · Two Deck Designs

Three models in the line: closed deck (Model A) for fall-through-prone product, open slotted deck (Model B) for general-purpose use, and square footprint (Model C) for drums and IBCs. Each model ships in multiple SKUs by load rating.

Model A — Closed Top Deck · 1200×1000×180 mm

48"×40"×7" nominal (1200×1000×180 mm)

Closed top deck with molded liquid-discharge grilles. Center-reinforced underside for added rack-span strength.

PE MD 2657 lb (26 kg)5,500 lb (2.5 t)2,650 lb (1.2 t)

Closed deck is the choice for product types prone to fall-through (drums, small cartons, granular) and for spec lines where liquid discharge is required.

Model B — Open Slotted Deck · 1200×1000×160 mm

48"×40"×6" nominal (1200×1000×160 mm)

Open slotted deck with smooth or non-slip textured surface available on order. Lighter profile than Model A at the same footprint.

PE MD 2657 lb (26 kg)5,500 lb (2.5 t)2,650 lb (1.2 t)

Open slotted deck is the general-purpose default — lighter on transport cost, faster to wash down, and the natural choice when fall-through is not a concern.

Model C — Square Open-Slotted Deck · 1200×1200×160 mm

48"×48"×6" nominal (1200×1200×160 mm)

Square footprint with open slotted deck. Reinforced underside for higher rack-span performance. Sized for drum and IBC handling.

Square 48×48 is the right call for drum stacks, IBC totes, and any load that needs to face four directions equally on the warehouse floor.

Where Plastic Pallets Operate

The line is sized for any industry that moves goods on a floor or in a rack — especially where hygiene, wash-down, or food contact is part of the spec.

Food and beverage

Processors, bottlers, and cold-chain distribution. The non-porous antibacterial surface meets the hygiene requirements wood cannot match.

Pharma and medical devices

Pharma free-trade zones and medical distribution centers. Food-grade material, no nails or splinters, washable.

Retail and distribution centers

Cross-dock receiving and store replenishment. Color by supplier or category for visual sortation at the dock.

Manufacturing and warehouse

Production line and rack storage. The 1,300–2,650 lb rack rating by SKU covers most selective-rack applications.

Closed-loop returnable pools

Customer-supplier logistics with pallet return. Logo branding for pool identification and loss reduction.

Drums and IBCs

Model C square 1200×1200 sized for drums and IBC totes. Reinforced underside for balanced loads.

Plastic Pallet vs. Wood Pallet

The practical question is not "which is better" but "which closes the math for your operation." Here are the factors turn rate, sector, and return system actually decide on.

Choose plastic when
  • The operation is high-turn and the pallet returns to inventory many times
  • Food, pharma, or hygiene-sensitive product is in direct contact
  • Wash-down and sanitization are frequent
  • Local labor costs for wood pallet repair are high
  • A closed-loop returnable pool is in place
Choose wood when
  • It is one-way export shipment with no return
  • The warehouse is low-turn and unit cost dominates the math
  • No pallet return system is in place
  • Local nail-and-board repair is accessible
  • The sector does not require food-grade hygiene

Buying Plastic Pallets Wholesale — FAQ

What is a heavy-duty plastic pallet?

A heavy-duty plastic pallet is a single-piece molded polyethylene pallet rated to carry a higher floor and rack load than a standard plastic pallet — typically 4,200–5,500 lb floor load and 1,300–2,650 lb rack load depending on the SKU. The "heavy-duty" classification comes from the reinforced underside structure and the heavier shot weight of polyethylene per unit, not from any change to the footprint.

How much weight can a plastic pallet hold on the floor versus in a rack?

Floor load is a static load resting on a flat surface — for this line the floor rating runs 4,200–5,500 lb (1.9–2.5 t) by SKU. Rack load is supported across racking beams with the pallet spanning the open distance, which is the harder test — for this line the rack rating runs 1,300–2,650 lb (0.6–1.2 t). Use the SKU rating that matches the worst-case condition your operation runs, not the average.

Are plastic pallets better than wood pallets?

Plastic is a longer-lived, more hygienic, and more recyclable choice that costs more per unit up front; wood is cheaper per unit and easier to repair locally. The honest math depends on turn rate: plastic wins on lifetime cost for high-turn pools and food/pharma compliance; wood remains the default for one-way export, low-turn warehouses, and operations without an internal pallet-return system. Don't pick one without running the math on your specific use case.

What is the difference between rackable and stackable pallets?

Stackable means the pallet can be stacked on top of another loaded pallet on the floor. Rackable means it can span between beams in a racking system carrying a load. All three models in this line are both stackable and rackable; the SKU determines how much weight the rack span can hold. Use the rack rating, not the floor rating, when sizing for warehouse racks.

Does the metric 1200×1000 footprint match the US GMA 48×40 standard?

Close, not identical. 1200×1000 mm converts to about 47.24" × 39.37" — under the GMA 48"×40" by roughly 0.75" in length and 0.6" in width. For most warehouse rack, transport, and forklift operations the difference is operationally negligible. Where exact GMA compliance is a hard spec — automated handling lines built for 48×40 only, certain retail receiving DCs — confirm the dimensions against the system spec before order.

Are plastic pallets recyclable?

Yes — single-piece molded polyethylene is 100% recyclable as a single material, with no nails, fasteners, or composite layers to separate. End-of-life pallets are typically reground and returned to the same supply chain.

Can the pallets be color-coded or branded with our logo?

Yes. The line is available in the full color range — yellow, blue, red, black, custom — for line, zone, or product-grade coding at a glance. Pallets can also be molded or marked with a company logo for closed-loop returnable pallet pools. Custom branding and color are specified on the PO; production runs against the order, not from stock.

What is the minimum order for plastic pallets by the container?

There is no fixed minimum on pallet count. The honest question is whether the math works for a full container of pallets or whether a mixed container with insulated bins, PVC SCH 40, or electrical material gets to a better landed cost. Send the model mix and the destination — we put the configuration together that gives the best total cost.
