LSOH-90+ Cable — Halogen-Free Power Conductor

Celsa LSOH-90+ halogen-free power cable for installations where human safety in a fire matters more than cost per meter. Thermoplastic LSOH insulation, 99.99% pure copper conductor, 450/750V, rated to 90°C, SGS-certified and NTP-IEC compliant. Sections from 1.5 to 300 mm². Voltera imports it direct from the Peruvian factory.

In hospitals, schools, and public buildings, the difference between LSOH and standard PVC shows up during an evacuation — not in the monthly invoice. Voltera ships LSOH-90+ to specialty distributors, EPCs, and institutional buyers across Central America, the Caribbean, and South America. Full container or mixed with THW-90 BH cable, conduit, or other electrical materials. MOQs are real, not policy. Quotes go out in firm with incoterms.

Buying LSOH-90+ Cable Wholesale — FAQ

What is LSOH-90+ cable and why does "halogen-free" matter?

LSOH-90+ (Low Smoke Zero Halogen, 90°C rated) is a power cable with thermoplastic insulation that contains no halogens (no chlorine, fluorine, bromine, iodine). In a fire, halogenated insulation generates dense black smoke and toxic acid gas — both of which kill before flames reach occupants. LSOH-90+ generates no toxic gas and no dense smoke, which keeps egress paths visible. Required by code in hospitals, schools, public buildings, transit tunnels, and any installation where evacuation under fire is the design priority.

When do you specify LSOH instead of standard PVC cable?

When the building has fixed-population occupancy (hospitals, schools, prisons, airports), confined egress (tunnels, subway, underground transit), or institutional ownership where insurance and life-safety code drive the spec. Standard PVC and even low-halogen PVC (THW-90 BH) emit acid gas and smoke under fire — manageable in industrial buildings, lethal in dense-occupancy ones. The unit cost is higher than PVC; the project liability of using PVC where LSOH was specified is much higher.

What sections does Voltera carry (1.5–300 mm²)?

All 16 standard sections: 1.5, 2.5, 4, 6, 10, 16, 25, 35, 50, 70, 95, 120, 150, 185, 240, and 300 mm². Class 5 stranding above 6 mm². Sizes can mix in a single container without per-SKU minimum.

What is the ampacity by section?

Ampacity at 30°C ambient, 90°C conductor max. In open air: from 27 A at 1.5 mm² up to 757 A at 300 mm². In conduit (max 3 conductors): from 22 A at 1.5 mm² up to 470 A at 300 mm². Apply the temperature and grouping correction factors when 30°C ambient or 3 conductors per conduit are exceeded. Full table is in the section above.

Is the cable SGS-certified and NTP-IEC compliant?

Yes. NTP-IEC compliant, SGS-certified, manufactured in Peru with 99.99% pure copper conductor. Not "equivalent" — actual SGS certification, with the document delivered to the project on request.

Difference between LSOH-90+ and THW-90 BH?

LSOH-90+ is fully halogen-free with zero halogen content, no smoke, and no toxic gas — for hospitals, schools, public buildings. THW-90 BH is low-halogen-emission PVC: 40% lower smoke and 20% lower toxic gas than standard PVC, but not halogen-free. THW-90 BH is the cost-conscious choice for industrial, commercial, and warehouse environments where fire-egress density is lower. We carry both — choice depends on the project.

Does Voltera export LSOH-90+ to Central America and the Caribbean?

Yes. Voltera ships LSOH-90+ to specialty distributors, EPCs, and institutional projects across Central America (Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama), the Caribbean (Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago), and South America (Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Argentina). Full container or mixed with THW-90 BH, conduit, or other electrical materials.

What is the minimum order to buy LSOH-90+ wholesale by the container?

No fixed minimum. The honest question is whether the math works for a full container or whether a mixed container with THW-90 BH, conduit, or other electrical materials gets to a better landed cost. Send the sections and quantities by destination — we put together the configuration that gives the best total cost.
