Frequently Asked Questions
Which countries does Voltera export electrical materials to?
We export to 14 markets: the United States as our domestic base, plus by sea to Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panama (Central America); the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Trinidad & Tobago (Caribbean); and Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Chile, Argentina (South America).
How do I request a container-load quote?
Send us your list by product (THHN by gauge, EMT/IMC by trade size, Cat6/Cat6A by packaging, fiber by type and strand count, etc.), quantity, destination country, and preferred port. We come back with a firm quote with incoterms.
What is the minimum order for export?
There is no fixed unit minimum. The practical question is whether the economics close for a full container or whether a mixed-product container makes sense. Send us your list and we will tell you which configuration gives the best total landed cost.
Can you mix products in a single container?
Yes. We run mixed containers without per-SKU minimums. It is the natural way to fill orders for distributors restocking across multiple products without overstocking on any one gauge or size.
Do you coordinate customs clearance at the destination?
Yes. We work with established customs brokers in each country and deliver import documentation ready at shipment. Authorities vary by destination: SAT (Guatemala), SAR (Honduras), DGA (Costa Rica, El Salvador, Dominican Republic), ANA (Panama), DIAN (Colombia), SENAE (Ecuador), SUNAT (Peru), Servicio Nacional de Aduanas (Chile), Aduana Argentina, Jamaica Customs Agency, Customs and Excise Division (T&T).
Are the products UL listed?
Yes. THHN/THWN-2 wire (UL 83), EMT conduit (UL 797), IMC conduit (UL 1242), Cat6 and Cat6A UTP cable, and single-mode/multimode fiber optic — the actual UL standard, not "UL-equivalent". For EPCs and institutional projects requiring documentation, we provide certification and lot traceability.
